My dad says it's a thousand dollars, but I don't know. I can't find the exact 'exchange rate.' Please help, don't answer after 8:00 on New Year's Eve, please.

I have no idea. I ate them for about the first 30 years of my life and never got anything out of it - so I stopped. I haven't noticed any difference. I'm glad, because I hate the damn things!

In the South traditionally, black eyed peas bring you luck in the New Year, and cabbage brings you money! I like neither, but because I am superstitious, I always take a some just in case there's something to it.

If you liked black eyed peas like I do, the yummy peas would be reward enough... let the universe send it's money if it wants, but for now I'm gonna eat some yummy peas.

None just supposed to bring good luck is all. But have to eat them with hog-jaw [you know that bacon looking stuff some people put in beans and peas] and turnip greens.
