I would assume that is a fuel leak in the engine compartment and comes from the Ventilation System. I can say that is on Vent or Heater and that will bring air from the outside.

Like previous posters before me, they are all good suggestions. Check for the obvious, crack and/or leaky fuel likes. Also, see if the Evaporation System is working as it should.

Good luck.

it must be cleared with the help of a diagnostics gadget or with the help of placing a jumper on the right ecc pins. if the blunders has cleared it could bypass off after (?) ammount of engine starts. if the blunders has no longer cleared and it nevertheless has concern, the code will stay modern-day until eventually finally the undertaking gets repaired. (you may pull the battery and it will bypass away yet you will unfastened clock & stereo settings and then back if the undertaking is modern-day it's going to easily come back on back. oh, and ensure to place the terminals back on the battery tightly or you would be caught with a lifeless clicking motor vehicle questioning why it wont initiate.)

I'd check my fuel lines for a leak. A hose could be loose or have a crack in it/be broken.
Chances are if you are smelling gas, you are at risk of your engine catching on fire.
I'd find the source of the odor before driving it.
Pull off your air cleaner and anything else that you can and start your engine. Then I'd try sniffing out the leak. And try bending lines, etc. if You have one that is cracked, then flexing it will cause a leakage you can see/smell.

You need to carefully inspect the entire fuel system while its running, most likely an injector leaking, but it could be anything in the fuel system-filter fittings, regulator fittings, a hose bad-need an experienced eye looking at it to be able to tell you exactly what.

take it to a dealer or to a good mechanic ASAP to get all the fuel lines and everything inspected. They'll be able to tell you if its leaking anywhere and what kinda repairs you may need.

If it's a gas smell you have a leak, any gas dripping on the ground? If it's exhaust check the exhaust system. I guess I should ask if a check engine light is on. If it is you may have a malfunction in the evap. system in which case you need the car scanned at a dealer. Evap system problems don't turn on and off with the key so look for a gas leak.
