With champange, big band / or just a band. Balloons, hundreds of people, laughing with people you know and never met, and drinking and dancing all night long in high heels and sequins or if you're a guy, dress shoes, suit and tie?

Yes, we had gone a couple of years to the NYE parties that several of the Hotels put on here in town. Full Buffet Dinners, Champagne, party favors and bands and of course dancing. Dressed to the nines. and then you could also have a Hotel room for the night and then breakfast in the morning in the package if you did not want to drive home.

Never attended a fancy formal party. Just plain old country folk and we sure don't wear high heels and suits.

Once when I was 20. It was a party held in Los Angeles at a beautiful hotel. I cannot remember the name of the hotel, too many years have passed. The guest vocalist was Anna Marie Alberghetti and Margaret O'Brien was there with her date. It was an evening I will never forget. Anna Marie had the voice of an angel and Margaret was absolutely beautiful. Margaret O'Brien was probably the most famous child star of her time.
My date was a charming, handsome guy and we were dressed to the nines, as they used to say. I will never forget that New Years Eve.

Nope-Went to one that was high-falutin for my group-live band/catered food. Only time I got to dance in the last 35 years. It was held inside a mall. Actually had 3 bands one on each wing of the mall and about 20 food/non alcoholic drink stations. Wish I was going there tonight. I'd take you guys with me and we could have a blast!!
