This is about air resistance.
The bullet is a musket.

A bullet is typically shot at a flat trajectory, while a cannon ball is usually shot in a ballistic trajectory#.

Therefore, I would say a cannon ball.

Excellent question. But not enough information to answer:

If they did weigh the same, the bullet would go farther because it's streamlined and presents less air resistance.

If two cannonballs weighing different amounts were shot at the same speed, the heavier one would go farther because wind resistance increases proportional to the frontal area whereas kinetic energy increases with the mass.

So there's a 3-d relationship between speed, mass, and distance (for any given bullet shape.)
