They are banning it almost everywhere now. If it is such a health hazard, why not stop selling them? I believe it is hypercritial to use the reveune they get from sales, but then they ban a legal substance.

I'm not aware of any states banning tobacco, but many are banning smoking in public places. These states are not necessarily being hypocritical ("hypercritical" means excessively critical, which I don't think you mean): they continue to collect revenues from the sale of cigarettes but pass laws to prevent people from smoking in public spaces. You can still smoke outside or in your own home.

To answer your first question, I can do it in two words: TOBACCO LOBBY.

Cuz there's too many powerful people involved that would never give up their possitions. selfish people. Cigarettes has given my grandma cancer all over her lungs and she's never been a smoker! bast*&*s! I hate that people can still smoke... murderers!

They can't prove they are a health hazard other than the person who smokes. There are 300 times more carcinogens in the air in large cities than are in cigarette smoke and they know it beside the taxes they put on cigarettes makes the government a hell of a lot of money and the government will never turn down money. If they even try to ban cigarettes, I will grow my own tobacco and make my own and all my smoking friends will have them FREE.

Because the government makes more revenue from the sale of cigarette than the Tobacco companies.

The government has already tried this approach with Prohibition of alcohol sales back in the 1920's. The move was essentially unsuccessful.

Because if you chose to smoke in your own home or auto you should have the right to do so. I don't smoke, but I respect their rights of their own home and auto.
