Personally, I recommend investing in travel agency that only costs $499 and see if it can become a success after a three to five years. Afterwards once it becomes a success than branch out into the franchise world. If doesn't become a success then at least you can say you tried but didn't lose a lot of money.

It depends upon the market. You should speak to your accountant and ask him or her to review the financial statements and balance sheet for the online travel agency you are considering acquiring. He/she should be able to provide you with a value of the company and thus an appropriate purchase price for the business.
