To me it's just another day and therefore I don't celebrate it. Pleeeease tell me that there's someone else out there who feels the same way lol.

I don't go out on the 31st it's just too crazy on the roads and not worth it.The only thing we do is the southern tradition of eating black eyed peas for good luck other than that it's just another day off work.

I hate New Year's. I find it horribly depressing. I've had problems with depression and anxiety since I was a preteen and still find this is the worst time of year for me. It all gets worse on this particular night and as a kid I used to have panic attacks watching the ball drop in Times Square.

I used to feel weird not celebrating a day that everyone else does, but it's just easier for me to treat it like a normal night and day. My husband, son, and I have a little tradition of saving one Christmas gift to open on New Years day, so that gives me something to look forward to on that day and it makes it a little easier.

Don't feel alone - it's more common than you realize. There are many people out there who just choose not to celebrate the passing of one year into the next.

Don't get me wrong I am very thankful to still be here w/ my family, but I don't feel much like celebrating either. My Father in law just got a 2nd chance to life w/ a heart surgery that he needed done in order to live & he still seems to be mean & nasty even though he is doing well. It seems like he is not even giving glory & thanks to God for his 2nd chance , yet many others don't get a 2nd chance . I don't think he realizes how lucky he is to still be here w/ his loving family.
So, that's why I don't feel much like celebrating.

God Bless

Me. I hate 31 december. People get crazy, drink, get loud, screaming, act immaturely and a lot of other annoying things.
