Oakland County is the 4th wealthiest county in the U.S. and the 2 wealthiest cities in that county are Birmingham and Bloomfield Hills. It has more to do with fact than name. I used to live there, a million dollars will buy you one of the cheap homes.

Bloomfield Hills used to be a big deal, but it isn't anymore, especially with Michigan's economy in the toilet. It's suffering from businesses closing and homes going into foreclosure just like every other city in metro Detroit. Having a nice address doesn't impress people here anymore because we all know the truth: Everyone's cutting back, and the people who seem to have the most money are the ones who are hurting the most.

definitely. whenever any of my friends or family talk about bloomfield hills, we think rich people. we also think of birminghan. but bloomfield hills is very, VERY ritzy. havent you seen the new cop cars? buildings, the people?!
theres this car thats really expensive, and theres only 7 made in the world. someone in bloomfield hills owns one.

i live about 30 min from bloomfield hills. There are a lot of muslims and jewish people that live there. And yes it is very ritzy. People there are extremely wealthy

yeah Bloomfield Hills sounds like a ritzy name but its for a ritzy town look at the stats on wikipedia...it says they make like 105,000 dollars there and its constantly the richest city outside of Florida and California

I live in Grosse Pointe Park, Michigan which is extremely wealthy for Michigan and I live in a 1.3 million dollar house (or higher) bloomfield hills is nice but GP is ritzy too!!!
