Yes, when I was 16 weeks everyone thought I was about 6 months, people with a short waist tend to stick out sooner because the baby, fluid, uterus etc has no where else to go but out. Even though I was really big in the beginning, things evened out and now at 9months most people can't believe I am 9 months because of how "small" I am... haha, the irony. Just make sure you watch what you eat and I'm sure everything is totally fine. Everyone teased that I was going to have a huge baby, or twins because of how early I started showing and how big my tummy was, but I've only gained 25lbs and they estimate the baby will be about 8lbs when she finally comes, so it just depends on each person body etc. Don't let anyone make you feel bad because your showing early, I made that mistake at the beginning of my pregnancy and really let it get to me. It's just how your body is handling the pregnancy. Be healthy and you'll stay happy!!!
GOOD LUCK & CONGRATS!!!

ok first, you're probable bloated! 2d, i hadn't won 5 pounds till ultimately a minimum of 12 weeks! Wen you're pregnant you extremely purely choose an added 3 hundred-4 hundred energy an afternoon! be careful!

i'm 14 weeks and i've been showing since about 11 weeks. I can't do my jeans up anymore and have had to buy a size up. I think it's cos i'm short and naturally slim 5ft 50kg before pregnant. I have been worried too cos in all books it says with your first you won't show till later but my mum and sister were the same. My mum said when she was further along though she did not look pregnant from the back just looked like she had a football sized bump on the front.

I was really big, at 8 weeks I looked like I was 4 months. I grew big and fast. I think it all depends on your body.

I was plus sized before I conceived, and my 2 were both big babies, so I always looked big for my dates too. If you are plus sized, you may have a big baby also. Big women often have big babies. Your dr. will be checking for sugar in your urine and you may have to have fasting glucose tests done. They will be checking you for possible gestational diabetes and you may need to be on a special diet, but your baby will be fine. It's also possible you conceived before you thought you did, so you could be farther along than you thought.
Best wishes and congratulations!

It can be normal, it just depends on you body frame and height. Shorter, thinner people tend to look bigger early on, and taller and big-boned people don't seem to show until much later. Your 3 and 1/2 months along, so your fine. As long as you doctor has cleared you of any problems, you are perfectly fine and healthy. No two women's pregnancies are the same, and yours is surely different! Relax, enjoy, and take in one of life's greatest gifts!

Everyone grows at a different pace, some stay small their entire pregnancy (the rest of us hate those people, lol!) and some grow really fast from the get-go.
Is this your first? It's a little more unusual with the first but I trust your doc is keeping an eye on you and monitoring growth and having all the appropriate tests done. It's probably just the way you grow. Also, if you have a shorter torso or not a lot of space between lower rib and top of the hips then baby has nowhere to go but out. So- might be your build, too.
It gets worse with subsequent pregnancies, so be forewarned :)
Best of luck and Happy New Year!

If your eating alot, or big boned, then yes.
I'm eight weeks and I look like i'm four because I'm big boned, and my boyfriends cousins fiance is twelve weeks and she looks like shes five because shes big boned too.
