i left my job, my home, my friends and family about a year and a half ago to move to the midwest and go to school my longtime boyfriend came with me and we got a lil apartment together, now over the last year we had some problems and i dont know if we are gonna make it together, and i just lost my job because the schedule conflicts with school. i can hardly afford rent, let alone tuition and books. on top of it all, even tho we are having issues, i have recently started feeling baby crazy..?! so anyway, the hard part was coming home for vacation and finding out one of my best friends is pregnant and got married, another best friend got married and bought a house, and my third best friend got married and moved to boston. everyone seems to be doing so great and, i know this is so wrong, cuz i am so happy for all my friends, but i guess my question is how do i deal with my jealousy over the fact that all my friends are exactaly where i want to be in life, but i am nowhere near there??

You have two choices 1) continue to be jealous and wish away OR 2) continue your struggle until you reach your goals.

Because stuff happens in life. My friends from school and college are all in management; I lost my job, went through poverty and went back to school and got a second degree. Now, I have a chance to regain some of what I lost.
I could sit on the floor and pull my hair out of my head and cry over what's happened and past . . .
Or I could get excited, learn from my mistakes and make sensible plans for an improved life (and all this came about just before the New Year!
Whatever you do, don't get pregnant! That will make things even worse! Congratulate your friends, and yes, have a private cry over the differences in your life and theirs. Then honestly assess whether you and your boyfriend can make things up and make them work. Look at your situation and decide what is best for YOU. Then act on it.

First you have to learn to accept the life your living in now, even if you don't have lives that resemble your friends. Everything happens for a reason, is what I believe, it is possible your time will come. Everybody goes through problems and bumps in the road in their life. Life is unfair, but you have to look on the bright side of things. It will get better.
