Or will nothing really change?

The tensions have gone on for years and i feel they will continue for many years to come.

Whats your own opinion on the forthcoming year, what do YOU think will happen?

It would be nice to have no thumbs down on this question as its people's own opinions, and we are all entitled to that

it will go on until America sticks its nose out, it has done so for decades and peace can only be achieved when the people involved sort it out by themselves with other nations not getting involved

"Tension" is steadily building, not only in the Middle East, but worldwide. This trend will continue in 2008. It will take another 15 years, more or less, to come to a resolution.
It won't be a permanent resolution of course, but it will last a few decades.

Bush will probably attack Iran for his swan song.

Rose.... They have a higher literacy rate than any western country. That is except Iraq but their schools have been bombed and many of their teachers murdered.
When the west gets out they will get on, but the west has meddled in the middle east sinse 350BC so they aren`t likely to stop any time soon.
If britain hadn`t re defined the boarders in1922 and settled all the yids in1947 the middle east would be peaceful now..!!

We haven't had peace since the year zero, so I doubt it's going to happen now.

Well I must say as a drunk person I think there will be no change, as it would not suite the military industrial complex. Believe me if things looked like settling down that bunch of sick people selling death would stir up some trouble just so they can make money over the bodies of some poor little boys and girls. I think therefore there is one easy way to solve all the wars in the world. close down Lockhead Martin and all the other sellers of death.

I managed not to use a bad word in the sentence about the sick bunch.
