I am not sure if the charge is fraudulent or not, but I don't recognize it and the line stating who charged the amount on my statement is rather non-descript.

How do I go about finding out if this is a legitimate charge or not?

Go to the store that has the charge and ask to see the reciept. With all the ID thefts going on many will help you with the reciept.
Another way is to challange the charge with the credit card company, you have a short time to do this.

You have to call the credit card company and report it. You can challenge any charge to your card as fraudulent and they will investigate.

The bank can tell you what type of business it is. If it is not yours, let your bank know you dispute it and they will tell you what to do
