Every episode when it was broadcast, and I have the complete series on DVD.
I don't care what Paul Reubens did in a porn theatre with other consenting adults. The fact is, that show was better at stimulating children's creative thinking than all the Saturday morning animated crap from the past 20 years. Pee-Wee's Playhouse was a throwback to the way children's programming used to be -- all about imagination and having fun learning things. Now all kids have on Saturday morning are hyper-dramatic anime -- what on earth does that do except bore them at worst and make them simple passive observers at best?
Pee-Wee was fun, vibrant, varied, wacky, clever, engaging, and very creative.

Yes, everyone knows it was a great kids show.
Yet, one incident wiped out all of Pee Wee's good deeds.
How many of us can put our lives under a microscope and still appear virtuous?

I loved that show when I was a small child! To this day I think Paul Reubens was a freaking genius (take away what the guy did outside the studio, of course) in terms of children's television programming!

Yes, and Pee-Wee's Big Adventure. If you haven't see it, go rent it today! Pee-Wee Herman was great, until the incident in the movie theatre. I still think he got the shaft on that.
