I dislike answers that begin with "It depends..... but this is one such question where I will start with just that.
For me the answer to this lies in who initiated the break-up of the relationship.
In relationships which I broke up then it was better to have loved, recognized the end and moved on while learning from it.
At the other end of the scale, losing someone whom I did love was extremely painful and the time we spent together was NOT worth the heartache.
Happy New Year to you.

I don't know if I can really answer this question but I wish that no one would lose the person they love. Unfortunately, that cannot happen. I believe that with the pain you can collect more memories of the person you love

I think it's better to have had ten loves than never to have experienced none at all What a sad life it would be to have never been loved or to love!!

Yes. Think of those who die without never having been kissed or never having loved at all. To have loved and lost at least you have the memory to hold and look back upon and cherish. To have never loved at all would be a very lonely existence, at least in my eyes. Heartache makes joy even more glorious! Without pain we would not know when to stop, God gave us those things to teach us. It is up to us to learn the lessons!

Since i am much older and I have been in many relationships, I can tell you I would rather have had the relationships I have had than never to have had them!!!!
Yes there is pain and sadness when things do not work out but you learn from those relationships. They help make the next one better.
I am now married and I have 9 Grandchildren.
The road I traveled was very much worth the trip!!

Good luck and have a Happy New Year!!!

I don't know. I am currently in a relationship where it feels like we are more roommates than a couple. I don't know how to fix it.
