If someone you know says they would love to make you happy...yet all they do is hurt you.....would you stop contact??

People can only hurt you if you let them. If that person is hurting you then you are allowing it. If the only way to stop the pain is to get out then by all means it is time to leave. That is like that email where it says I asked God to show me He was there and it Thundered in the sky and still I did not see. I asked God to let me feel Him if he was really there and the wind blew and still I did not see. If you are allowing it Tina it is time to open your eyes and see what you do not want to see I hate to see you be hurt. You seem so gentle and kind, you do not deserve to be hurt time to shut the door on that.
Just my opinion and that is what you asked for.

I think I would. Love is not about pain, it's about friendship and respect for one another. If either is gone, true love is nowhere to be seen. You should accept pain FOR someone, not FROM them......

i would ask them to define the term "happy", ask them whether they're doing this to make THEMSELVES happy...then stop contact after using my baseball bat.
