2004 Ford f150 RSS sensor?

When i start my truck my reverse sensor button says it's on. but when i switch it into reverse the button turns off and when i try and turn it back on it just switch's itself back to off. any suggestions? thanks

the rest of the gears light up correctly yes and i'll have to check the instruction booklet to find the range sensor
