Not sure of the question, but I never shoot anything over 50 yards. Targets, I might go 100 yards.

The round is only "pushed" while in the barrel, if that's what you mean. There are pistols with 8" barrels that use this round. Longer just means faster since the gass pushes on the bullet longer.
