I have inquired about certain associates degrees and have yet to recieve a response from any of the colleges I have inquired to. I am not sure what the difference is between graphic design and media arts is. I have a background with AutoCAD drawing construction projects. I like what I do, but I know an Associates Degree would definetly open a lot of doors. Please help with any suggestions between the two. I also looked into Game design as well. Let me know what you chose and if it worked out for your professionaly.

Thank you

What do you want to do?

You have experience in basic engineering and it is possible to continue in that direction. Game design may look like a lot of fun, but it is very hard work with a lot of OT. Game designers and programmers will tell you that that put in tons of hours.

Look at both fields and see what direction you want to go.

If you look at this web site and read about "digital arts" and "graphic design" it will give you some idea of the differences. I'm sure other schools have web sites that explain what they think that the differences are.
