yes - envy is a lesser stage of jealousy. Jealousy leads to action of some unethical sort, such as murder or theft. Envy has no 3rd party affects... this is usually what most people experience. Jealousy is the end result of the enfacuation and desire of something one can't have-so they take action to correct their situation, envy is just seeing soemthing you want that someone else has, so you envy them, but it has not yet turned into anything other than an inside feeling.

i'm enormously advantageous they are synonymous. i'm additionally enormously advantageous any glossary might lower back up this declare. Any declare to the item of desire or value of desire is largely opinionated and not something extra desirable than hypothesis. From a dictionary analyze, jealousy would have decision and broader meanings, yet would desire to replace envy in spite of everything. Envy substituting jealousy now and lower back may well be incorrect.

I believe envy is only admiring what others have with no motivation of creating any actions. Jealousy is wanting something what others have or destroying what they have.

I envy my friend for having a nice house or car, but not necessarily wanting to have any of these.

I am so jealous that I want to destroy his corvette because I don't think he deserves to have one.

They are closely related and some people suffer from both traits. Envy is less harmful and more common and can be flattering. For example I could say "I was green with envy when I saw your swimming pool". Jealousy is where I would be so resentful that you had a pool and I didn't that I might try to cause you and your pool some damage. Hope that helps.
