I remember trying to stay up and never succeeding. I remember my mother going out and in the morning, we'd wake up and there would be party favors for me and my sisters. I miss those days.

Wearing silly hats blowing these things that made noise and looked like long snakes coming out when you blew them and then they rolled back up and these things that you swung around and they made silly noises and waiting for Momma and Poppa to come home from their party before midnight so we could go outside and bang pots and pans together and yell Happy New Year and then go inside and say a prayer. I loved my little brother and my Momma and Poppa so much. Ah thanks for the memories
