Hi,

The others who have answered who mentioned "the morning after" pill and "Plan B" are talking about the same medication. It is actually the same medicine used in birth control pills, but a much stronger dose. If you take this soon after a pregnancy (I believe it must be taken within the next three days) it can prevent a fertilized egg from implanting in your uterus. You will instead get your period as usual.

However, this medicine works best if you take it sooner rather than later. It will NOT abort a pregnancy once it's gotten started, and it doesn't always work even if you take it right away.

My advice to you is to call a Planned Parenthood or another abortion clinic in your area. You will likely be able to talk (anonymously if you want) to a very caring counselor on the phone who can advise you of your options. Every state is a little different. Hopefully they can help you figure out what you need to do.

I wish you luck!

that happened to a friend of mines when i we were in high school....see if there is a planned parenthood in your city...it a free clinic and ask them for the morning after pill....make sure that you are ready to do that....i know its gonna hurt your mother but she will understand and she going to support you no matter what...and if you dont have that type mother....do what you might think is best...find an older person you can talk to and will help you get through this.

Good Luck
keep me updated.....

the morning after pill, plan B, available over the counter at the pharmacy if you're over 18.

Read the article then call your pharmacist and see if it is available to you.

Good luck

the moring after pill. But im not sure you'll get this tomorrow at GP. You may need to visit hospital to get it.
Also worth thinking about how far along you are from your last period. If the first day of your last period was 14 days ago or there abouts there is a strong chance of fertilisation.
Get to the docs hun just to be safe... x

If you have a gynecologist or health clinic that you can go to, they can prescribe the "day after" (or something like that) pill. The pill will take care of any fertilized egg that may be there. Don't wait...go as soon as possible to get the prescription.

you can get the morning after pill
from a doctor or planned parenthood
or a pharmacy behind the counter.

you have to wait at least 3 weeks to take a test and even then it could show a false negative. so you should wait and see if you miss your period and then take a test.

goodluck hope everythings fine.
