I just received a message with this statement: "I see that your bi ............ Why i mean you are beautiful enough to get a man. Why wouldnt a man want you?"
I've heard the stereotypes that bisexual women are attention-whores and nymphomaniacs, but never that they are usually unattractive.
Is this a common stereotype, or just one person's moment of stupidity?

To me, that makes about as much sense as when people say "Bi girls are hot!" Their orientation should have no bearing on their attractiveness.
That was just a very misguided, failed attempt at a compliment. Probably from one of those people who assume that your orientation is a choice...you know, morons.
He did make one good point, though. You're definitely beautiful enough to get a man. Or a woman. Hell, you could probably land a god if they existed...

Well, first of all, ugly girls don't suddenly become attractive once they say they are bi. But it can turn guys on more when an already attractive girl says it (it's more like a bonus). At least it does for me. I can't speak for all guys here. My theory is that every guy, at least, has the fantasy of doing it with two girls and learning that a girl is bi is like saying "here's a girl that could be part of that fantasy".

There is no such thing as 100% straight (heterosexual) and 100% gay (homosexual). But so many, particularly males, would rather die than admit even a 1% of other gender in them. But the science does not lie, it is just the way it is. All fetuses start out female, some stay that way, some retain small amounts. It is just physiology, why get up tight about an infinitisimal amount.

One person's silly perception. Gay, bi, and as you know, straight people come in all forms, both gorgeous and unattractive. My sister isn't exactly a model, but she is quite an attractive redhead and she's bi. She's never had trouble attracting men, I'll put it that way. I've known both men and women that are bi who are VERY attractive or flat out unattractive. Someone has a silly idea in their head.

I would say it was said in a major moment of stoopidiy! I'm curious, was that comment made by a guy or girl? It almost sounds like a guy who doesn't respect the right for an attractive woman to also love another woman. For all men, I apologize! lol, don't let it get you down!

Some people believe that the only reason i girl goes "bi" is if she is desperate and can not get a guy. So most likely the guy was telling you that your pretty and should have no reason to be desperate and seek a girl. Though i know this is untrue, thats what some people believe.
