Huge respect as a great team to the Indians, but I think the Tigers arnt f@*King around, Detroit now has a top to bottom line up and The Indians, well great team, man for man wont stack up. It will be close, but Look for a World Series in Detroit.

I'm really biased but with depth added to the bullpen, and off years by some of their key players I'm going to say the Indians just edge the Tigers.

Well first off, I think it will be a very close race between the two teams. I'm going to go ahead and choose the Tigers, I just love that lineup, and the pitching is not too shavy eighther.

Man, I am a huge Indians fan, and I hate to say this but on paper the Tigers should win the division. They went out and got Renteria, Cabrera and Willis. Personally, just adding Renteria was a big upgrade offensively and defensively. I honestly am scared. Thank God the game isn't played on paper.

BTW, i have yet to see a good move by the Indians this offseason...

I think the Indians will win it, but not by much.

The Cleaveland Indians lineup from top to bottom, has stayed almost exactly the same as it was in Game 7 of the ALCS Series, which, due to their total defensive lapses, made them blow their 3-1 lead, and Game 7 at the hands of the Boston Red Sox.
The Detroit Tigers, on the other hand, went through major changes in their batting order. With the accusation of Miguel Cabrera from the Florida Marlins, and Renteria from the Braves, it would make their order look like this:
1. Curtis Granderson
2. Palcido Palanco
3. Gary Sheffield
4. Magglio Ordornez
5. Miguel Cabrera
6. Carlos Guillen
7. Edgar Rentaria
8. Ivan Rodriguez
9.Jaques Jones
Which, 1-9, looks pretty unstopable.
By now, you are probably saying, he's a Cleaveland hater.
Actually, you're wrong.
When we take a look at the pitching staffs, the edge, frankly lopsidedly, goes in favor of Cleaveland.
Although, as we know, Detroit has Willis, Verlander, and Zumaya, Cleaveland has precisely what Detroit doesn't have:
After their starter, they have a man to:
Get 3 outs for an inning after the starter comes out.
Come in after him, pitch 2 1/2 innings, and allow no more than a run.
A setup man who will NO DOUBT shut them down for 2 innings.
A closer who has better than a 50/50 shot at saving the game.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not a Tiger hater either.
On defense, you could go either way. Both teams strengths come from centerfeild and secondbase, Grady Sizemore and Asdrubal Cabrera for the Indians, and Granderson and Palanco for Detroit.
I say the Indians lock up the division by 1.5 games, and Detroit wins the wild card.
But in a 7 game series, I would take Detroit, 4-3.

I think the Tigers made the moves necassary to bump them up to the next level. All they need now is maybe another reliever. Their line-up is arguably the best in Baseball, and their starting rotation of Verlander, Rogers, Willis, Bonderman, and Robertson is pretty good. Don't expect them to fade in the stretch like they did last year.

Tigers and Indians have equal front of the rotations, with the Indians probably beating them out slightly, but the Tigers have a little more depth in the back of the rotation. Detroit has a little advantage at closer(Jones over Borowski) but Cleveland has a complete advantage for the rest of the bullpen. The batting and fielding gives a clear advantage to the Tigers. With all I've said, I'm going to have to give the AL Central to the Tigers.
