I'm wearing a white sweater-type shirt with a nice pair of darker blue jeans with a brown belt. Is it ok to wear a pair of darker-brown dress shoes with that? I don't want to wear tennis shoes and my girlfriend who usually dresses me is at her mothers. Any help is appreciated. Thanks =D

Yes. It matches the belt, and jeans are kind of neutral.
Hope you don't mean very dressy shoes, like with a suit - that would be too formal for jeans.
