"May your God, Gods, or lack thereof, bless you in all of your walks of life."

(by the way, I'm not representing Obama when I say this. This is just a question that I personally have)

Would this bother you? Offend you?

Thanks.

Johnny Reb: "which god is he refering too?"
---That's the thing, NO one, hindus, christians, islams, athiests, agnostics, skeptics, etc, is left out this way.

In this sense, this statement would be refering to all of the Gods of the constituency.

This is alot less offensive than when they assume that I believe in their god. I like it!

Like Kinky Freidman says, "May the God of your choice bless you." LOL. He also says, "They don't make jews like Jesus anymore."

Oh, remember, religion is for people who are trying to keep from going to hell. Spirituality is for people who have already been there.

How about "When the President Talks to God" sang by artist on Jay Leno's Show?

I wouldn't bother me because it happens only in your mind.

Obama makes no such statement at the end of his speeches. Are you implying that he is a polytheist now because his father came from Africa? That is a new one, and more laughable than convincing.

Obama was a constitutional law professor, therefore, he will respect the separation of church and state even though he is a church going Christian.

No it doesnt bother me in fact I believe this is how it should be. Without God we would not be here or have the blessing that we have in our life today.

"God Bless" would you have a problem if your president said this at the end of his speeches?"

Not a bit.

Not particularly.

Especially the second, more PC version. I have no problem receiving blessings from people who beleive differently from me. I don't care if you invoke God, Jesus, Allah, Buddah, or Captain Crunch. The point is always that you wish me well, why should anyone take offense?

I would prefer them to not say anything referring to any unrational superstition, but then again, who am I but a lowly rational thinker out here trying to chisel my way into the world.
