All the cough medicines for babies were pretty much recalled and pulled off the shelves due to parents over using them and causing greater issues. The throw up is probobly mucus and phlegm that is getting into his tummie....so the best thing to do is break that up.. Get a vicks vaporizer and put the fluid in the top of it that you can purchase along with it...keep this on at nap times and at night and it will help break up the mucus. You can also put the "little noses" drops in his nose and it will help the snot come out his nose instead of dripping down his throat and into his chest! The dr's arent able to prescribe anything for colds unless there is a fever or dehydration...at which point you need to take him to the dr asap. Try some tylenol drops for fever or if hes uncomfortable....and to keep him hydrated give him a teaspoon full of pedialite with his food and try to get him to drink some extra water. Dont worry its the cold season and although it seems to last forever it will be over soon!!! I think it hurts us more than them! :)

boil a peice of chicken in water and put the broth in a bottle and feed it to him .....
then take a potato and slice it up and an onion and slice it up and boil them together in water and feed him the broth from that .......
also fill the tub with hot/warm water and dunk baby tottally immersed under water and immediately take baby and lay him on a pile of towels to air dry ....

then eat the chicken and the potato soup and wait for baby to get better .....

Call your doc. I was told I could put something under his mattress to raise his head to a 45 degree angle. Just to make sure that the pressure is evenly distributed...like using a bed wedge. Don't just use one book in the middle or something. Use a vaporizer in the bedroom when he is sleeping...it will help break up the mucus some. I also use some tea tree oil in a diffuser. (This is NOT something you put on the baby or feed the baby...you just put it in the air.) Make sure you are sucking out his nose and keeping it as clear as you can. You can put a saline drop in his nose to help break up the mucus.

have you had seen by his pediatricion? what he is throwing up is mucus. give him plenty of liquids. keep him off of milk as it causes more mucus. weak tea and kool aid is good for him. thisw ill thin out the mucus and keep it loose so he can cough it up. check for over the counter cough syrups for babies his age. then read the instuctions on the dosage. if he continues though and seems to have trouble breathing or trouble coughing the mucus up get him checked for asthma?? i have dealt with this with all 3 of my kids and grand kids!! the constant coughing could be a sign if he is trying to clear his lungs!! best to be safe!!

Start with Baby Tylenol (regular or Cold and Cough medicine). Use Vick's Baby Vapor Rub and push the fluids.
