HAPPY NEW YEAR!! :)

Have a great YEAR AHEAD!! :)

Here a short poem...

Happy New Year Wish : :

My Happy New Year wish for you
Is for your best year yet,
A year where life is peaceful,
And what you want, you get.

A year in which you cherish
The past year’s memories,
And live your life each new day
Full of bright expectancies.

I wish for you a holiday
With happiness galore;
And when it’s done, I wish you
Happy New Year, and many more..... :)

Strewth! as we used to say in Oz. It's 1145 New Year's Day, so whatever it was, it's behind us, along with a pleasant party at neighbors' last night when about 20 people we didn't know from late 40's to 60's bared their "souls", declaring tearfully the traumas of 2007 they would try to discard and braver hopes for 2008 to which they aspired. All had recently discovered Green issues like climate change, a couple of marriage breakdowns, job changes, etc. Being heartless and old, I found it touching, naive, and entertaining. Here and now it's as hot as hell in Melbourne (yesterday historically hottest day in hottest year ever) - remains of a couple of cyclones are battering Queensland - bushfires raging in Western Australia after killing three people. More than 30 people killed in car accidents in the past week in Oz, a couple of knife killings - and no doubt a few divorces brewing and some pregnancies begun.. Strangely, the day looks much the same as any other, to me. I must be missing something? But then, I've always had an odd sense of time, always living in the antiquity of the future, if such there be. It does give most things people take seriously a touch of sweet levity - at least after one survives one's first great love affair. The sun comes and goes, and the Earth rolls round, and everything changes and everything's the same, is all I know. See you!
