I'd skip it, do your homework and get one with its own decent warranty. They don't fail too often, if you buy a good one.

Before you spend your money on a "Newegg" warranty, check the manufacturers warranty on the product.

Generally speaking, purchasing a warranty is not a worthwhile effort on lower priced items. If you were spending 3 or 4 thousand dollars on a high ticket item, then maybe but not on a computer monitor.

My monitor came with a 3 year manufacturers warranty so why would I spend more money on an additional warranty???

Extended warranties are essentially a "bet against the house" and the odds are always in favor of the house. In other words, if the manufacturer thought the item would fail in the alloted warranty period, do you think they'd offer a warranty in the first place???

My opinion is don't waste your money and think it over real good before you drive the cost of your monitor up by (I'm guessing here) about 1/3 of the original price.

Hope this helps.

I would go with the cheapest, because the fact that an lcd will only get replaced with a new one anyway, not fixed. I myself didn't get any because Newegg has great service if you have to return it if it comes defective. I just bought a 19" lcd from them for 120 dollars and it works flawlessly.
