dude people just say hendrix was great because he was way ahead of his time! if he was still alive this day he'd be kickin. im not sayin slash is poo, hes great also. just the time period. like zeppelin...people went nuts when they heard jimmy page play guitar because they havent heard anything like it.
but you cant say hendrix sucks unless you've heard songs like red house and little wing ect. blow off those songs that are played every two seconds like vodoo child and purple haze.
