To clean your laptop screen, you should use 3M Notebook Screen Cleaning Wipes. I would highly recommend using these wipes.

USE A SOFT DAMP CLOTH AND WATER
(cotton cloth or micro-fiber)

No soap !!!

No alcohol !!!

No ammonia !!!

Nearly everything you get on your computer screen are water based to begin with. e.g. coffee, soda, etc.

Therefore, simple water will clean them off.

Chemicals will attack the finish of your monitor screen, and paper products will scratch it.

Hope this helps.

This may sound strange, but I use used dryer sheets to clean dust from my LCD screen. They work great. For sticky or really dirty (not just dust), I use unscented baby wipes. These are cheap, don't harm your computer, & they work really well.

All I do is dust it or every now and then wash it with warm water on a washcloth and dry. No soap.

There are products, usually available at office supply stores and computer stores, specifically made for cleaning LCD screens.
