d - H+ Oxidation is the loss of electrons. In this case an 'H' atom has lost its electron to become 'H+'.

In a neutral state, hydrogen has one proton and one electron. Because protons are positive and electrons are negative, they cancel one another out. If "." represents an electron, then a neutral hydrogen is H.

When a species is oxidized, that means that it becomes more positive, or loses electrons. To indicate an oxidized atom, there are fewer "." and a "+" is added. Therefore, when H loses one electron, it has none left. So, the proper notation for an oxidized H atom is H+, or answer "d."

These are pretty basic questions, so if you are having difficulty with them, you should speak to your teacher.
