Just... practice.
A lot.
trust me.
And watch basketball games on TV, to see their ways of playing the game

The best answer for that is to practice harder and if possible practice daily to improve your game. You are a post player? Well you need to have big and strong body so eat a lot of nutritious food and bodybuilding food in order to become healthy enough to become a good post player. Attend to some basketball clinics and try to watch basketball games in order to have guide on how to become a good post player. Also play with someone so that you will gain experience.

Wow. I'm a bball coach and I wish you were on my team! If you are a post player practice REBOUNDING! Excellent rebounders are invaluable and rebounding is one skill you can improve greatly with correct technique, practice and desire.

Work on strengthening your legs so you are a more powerful jumper. Practice throwing the ball high and grabbing out of the air with feet off the ground and the ball held high. Learn correct blocking out techniques. have an aggresive mindset. Practice tossing the ball against the backboard, rebounding and immediately shooting. If you do this again, and again you will become a strong offensive threat.

Rebounding is the most important yet underated skill. PRACTICE and you will become a valuable asset to your team!

Hi Amanda I'm actually a netball coach, but hey I'll have a go.

As a person thinks so they are. So start thinking (keep it to yourself) that you are the greatest. (By the way God has a plan for your life and is for you and not against you.)

All sport is about gaining the advantage. That means maximizing your strengths and minimizing your weaknesses.
List yours and work on both diligently.

Learn from those who are better than you (there is always someone). What makes them better? Copy them.

John Wesley a very old mate of mine said 'be at it and always at it'.

hand-eye coordination drills, ball handling drills, using both hands, using the drop step, & body control ( rebounding).

Just keep working out. Hustle in games makes up for a lot on the court. See if there are any camps in the area, especially any that geared for the post play. Practice drop step moves and drills such as the Miken (? spelling) drill. Work on your quickness doing drills such as suicides(yeah they are not fun, but help a lot) to help with speed and stamina, then just get after it on the floor with your hustle. Coaches love hustle!

i played basketball for almost five years
i didnt start off very good obviously, but all i did was really get serious about it.
i would go down to the park and start shooting in different areas, do lay-ups, dribble down the court and back as fast as i could trying to control the ball.
and just try to go into situations that could happen.
watching basketball games on tv might help, but you have to remember that theyre pro and some things arent even the same as freshman teams lol.

i'm a sophomore btw, and i hope i kinda helped even though i rambled lol.
hope everything works out.x
