An old, tired-looking dog wandered into the yard. I could tell from his collar and well-fed belly that he had a home.He followed me into the house, down the hall, and fell asleep in a corner. An hour later, he went to the door, and I let him out.

The next day he was back, resumed his position in the hall, and slept for an hour. This continued for several weeks. Curious, I pinned a note to his collar: "Every afternoon your dog comes to my house for a nap."

The next day he arrived with a different note pinned to his collar: "He lives in a home with ten children -- he's trying to catch up on his sleep. Can I come with him tomorrow?"

Oh, I so identify with this dog............
and I don't have 10 children, only 2..... and they've moved out, or have they?
I leave for the office with a full refrigerator, but come home to a half empty one, my wet laundry is lying on the floor, and and one single pair of designer jeans are in the dryer?
Bob Marley box set just disappeared?.............
& that's just the half of it, I am tied by the heart strings to a wondefully kind and loving Neanderthal with two young Neandethals of his own.
I haven't completed a thought, a phone call, or a full glass of diet pepsi with ice, in 19 years.
Oh to be that dog, to take a nap without someone talking to me from the crack under the closed bedroom door asking me..... Where are the scissors?
If only.........
Please Lord if I'm more patient with all of them, can I come back as a big, tired, old, dog in my next life?

My dog used to visit the neighbors with permission to play with the kids.

That is a cute story. Have a star.

I'd volunteer to help you and the dog out, my place is too quiet. But 10 kids would be too drastic a change, just send me the dog.
