It is an inherited trait, mostly, like Italian, Arabic and Hispanic women tend to have it more than others. You can bleach, but I have seen people who bleach them and the hair is still there. Most women with the dark upper lip hair have darker or olive complexions, so the bleach stands out against those skin colors. Waxing would be my first choice of dealing with it, electroloysis or lasering would be second and plucking, I just don't know if I could stand and pluck a million fine hairs like that, lol. Some women even shave it, and no it doesn't grow back like a mustache but you will have to do it like every other day. I don't think I am gutsy enough to do that one either.

genetics. i have dark hair EVERYWHERE. i never had plucking or waxing reduce the hair growth and never had it get worse. have taken to laser hair removal instead. worked like a charm.

Thank your genes for that... or sometimes hormones..

continuous waxing and plucking will make them go away temporarily, but it will grow back..

Actually, it comes down to hormones. Some women have more testosterone than others. Lasering can make it go away perminate. Check out these sites for ideas.

some women's genetics, others have more testorone than they need, and less estrogen.

i would say it was mostly just bad genes.
