Does anybody know how to get off mildew out of a car seat cloth?

We took one of the seat of out van, and left it in the garage....not it has some mildew in the cloth. Any ideas on how to deal with that?

Steam clean it! using a damp cloth dab it off fabric then let dry to see if gone, repeat if necessary, afterward spray with fabric protector..and maybe febreaze?

Set it out in the sun to kill the stuff then use any good cleaner to remove.
