because my dad got a pink shrit for christmas and hates it just because its pink
its only a colour!

if you were a teenager in the 50's you probly wore pink because it was the most popular color at the time pink shirts black pants with a pink stripe down the side.pink and black cars even pink tile in your home. it had nothing to do with being gay. AFTER IT WENT OUT OF STYLE MEN THOUGHT WEARING PINK HAD FEMANINE FEELINGS WITH THE PERSON WEARING IT..

ha ha ..your dad is right .. it is a feminine color ..may be because the rose flower is pink and the flower is feminine i don't really know!!

The King of Thailand was recently photographed wearing a pink blazer. Now it is extremely popular for Thai men to wear pink.
I think that many men don't like to wear pink because it is considered to be a feminine color. They are concerned that other men will think that they are a sissy or poofta.
That's silly.

Probably because pink is typically linked to women and women are linked to being sensitive. Since men don't want to be thought of as sensitive and/or weak, they won't wear pink. Trust me, my dad won't even wear a pink tie!

A lot of men consider the color to reflect a feminine taste, as do I... I am not afraid to wear it, it is not a matter of insecurity, just a matter of choice...I am sure lots of people consider spinach a good food, but I sure don't want to eat it...

Are there some things you won't wear? Like maybe a shirt with the words "I'm a complete moron" on it"? Why, they're just words, right? Your "It's just ..." argument has no merit and is you trying to push others into doing something they don't want to do. He doesn't want to wear it. Accept it and move on.
And if you really want to know the answer then ask your dad.

It's probably insecurity and a fear that they'll be associated with homosexuality. You should let him know that many females find guys sexy in pink. I got my bf into it, now he's not afraid of any color. I see it as a sign of confidence.
