Young coconut water is the most natural electrolyte you can buy. They even use it in IVs in 3rd world countries with supply shortages! You can get it in most Asian markets.

I agree with "Judy B", unless you've been sick, just keep drinking water. At every meal, in between meals, at night before you go to bed. By the end of the third day you should feel better. Cut out the excess salt and caffeine. Caffeine actually blocks water from entering the cells.

First of all don't drink Powerade or Gatorade they contain way to much sugar. There is a product called Emergen-C that is available at most health food stores and even Wal-Mart. It is natural, convenient, inexpensive, very effective and safe enough to use everyday. It is great to carry with you in the summer for repeated use, just add to bottled water at any time. It is great if you've had diarrhea or vomiting, to prevent dehydration.

WATER, FILTERED IF POSSIBLE. I hate all the junk that gets added to our water. You can get a very inexpensive filter for the kitchen faucet for under $30.

Unless you have been vomiting or had diarrhoea, you don't need electrolytes. Just drink water.

If you need rehydration due to sickness, the recipe is 1tsp salt and 8 tsp sugar to 1 litre of water.

Yeah, mix some salt with water and drink it.
the salt will encrease the osmotic concentration in your cells and they will retain water.
