In the bathtub, when I was 7, I know I probably got a good 8 inch tsunami going on.

Mom was cheesed off.

A tsunami is generally large, but it is commonly accepted that any wave caused by an Earthquake is a Tsunami.
More to the point what would have happened was, when the "tsunami" reached the nearest land the energy from the quake had dissapated.

Which one was that? If it's only 6 inch than i guess i wouldn't call it a tsunami or i would call it a really small tsunami! =)

In the open ocean a tsunami is usually about that height, just moving very fast. Once it approaches shore where the water is shallower, the height of the wave increases.
