Not ALL of rap. Of course there are tons of indie rap that you NEVER get to hear on mainstream radio. But for the most part there are so many bullsh** "rappers" out there telling us to do stupid things like "crank that Soulja boy"....or shouting and grunting out loud in every song! It's so sickening! When (if ever) will new good hip hop artist be heard by the masses: Its like now when most people talk about hip hop, they think of the crap you hear on the radio. Not the Procussions, or the Argyle Pimps, or Pigeon John or Lighthead....just a bunch of SH**!!!! Whyyyyy og whyyyyy....:(

If your looking for good lyrics you wont find them on the radio. the reason is simple one rapper makes a really dumb song and it sells like he111 so all the talented rappers start making dumb songs to sell. its like follow the leader. BUT there is a ton of real underground talent just waiting to be heard and thats all i really listen to anymore.

Because mainstream rappers don't rap about anything different, they are very simplistic in the words they rhyme and they preach a cheap, hollow message.

theres nothing wrong with hip hop. dont nobody wanna listen to hard sh!t all the time. yeah the nas, weezy's, lupe fisco, are good but sometimes u wanna dance to something. theres not a damn thing wrong wit hip hop except for bootleggers and limewire. if u dont like what u hear then turn the damn station
