Some days I imagine myself adopting kids and having a family. Other days I want to flirt with girls. I am straight so I don't know where this idea of me playing around with girls came from. I guess it's my environment? I want to be different. I want to be heard..attention!! Some days I want to loose all control and other days I want to study my *** off. Some days I want to hang out with punks and emo kids and other days I want to help those who are in emotional distress. I'm wasting time right now. I can be improving my english right now.

SO here is my question...WHY DO SOME PEOPLE GO THROUGH MANY DIFFERENT STAGES IN A SHORT AMOUNT OF TIME AND OTHERS ARE NOT FLEXIBLE. SOME PEOPLE HAVE STRONG BELIEFS. I WAS RAISED TO CHOOSE WHAT I WANT TO BELIEVE IN. I SOUND VERY WISHY WASHY SOMETIMES.

You're 20, just like me, so you're probably in college right? Maybe? Let's say you are because I don't really know. You probably don't have a major yet because you are confused on who you are right? um....then i would say it is normal because you are confused...

Find what's confusing you, make sense of it, live your life....

You have 10 years till you actually become worthless, so take your time in finding what you want to do.

Personally I say you should study philosophy, it's freakin awesome. Start with Metaphysics.

I don't think they are actual "stages", a day of thinking about something is prob not a stage. You are young and hormonal. Your mind will calm down.

categorize all these feelings and emotions, look at those that would make you feel more mature, productive, responsible and full-filling, then go ahead and do them. you are just in a moment of transition. you're still young," full-joy" your youth.

Because mainstream American culture infantilizes young adults. Guess what, you're 20 and you're still useless.

You fall into the useless category.

I don't know about the "lesbian" thoughts, if that's what they are, but as regards to the other stages, I went through it, and I believe we all did. You are young and coursing with hormones. Don't worry it's natural.

Welcome to the change to adulthood!! Just do what you feel is right. Don't put up too many walls. Enjoy yourself, but not at the expense of another's feelings. Do good. There is nothing wrong with you.

It is emotions. When you are in your 20s, you are in a transition stage.

it sounds like you're really searching for who you truly are, and there's nothing wrong with that. sometimes you need to experience things to decide that's not who you are.

or maybe you have schizophrenia.
