I am 110% in love w/ baseball books, and I probably read all of the baseball books in my schools library, so please reccomend some books that you guys absolutley love!! Some of my fav. would be Safe On Second, Strike Out, Rookie Season, and Duffy Dean... I hate the ending though!!!!

If you want to learn something about baseball, read "Ball Four" by Jim Bouton. Then ask yourself, does Bowie Kuhn belong in the Hall of Fame?

"The Boys Of Summer" by Roger Kahn. A book about the 1955 Brooklyn Dodgers. The only Brooklyn team to win a World Series. Roger and I both grew up in Brooklyn and we were both there during that historic autumn when "next year" became this year.
It gives you a small idea of what it was like to grow up with a team playing in the middle of an urban setting. A team whose players took the subway to the park and who held block parties now and then for the fans in the section of Bay Ridge where many of them lived.
