I am spending it with those whose company I truly enjoy: absolutely nobody! LOL I could care less for this farce of a celebration. It's just another day to me.

Myself and my cat is all i have left in the world that lives with me my spouse died 17 years ago and my son died in 2005.
so for Auld Lang Syne and a Happy New Year

Cookout at a friends house that is also celebrating a birthday...hubby will go too....and hopefully we'll be home long before the "ball drop" at 12 and can celebrate together watching the New Year come in around the world!

I work security at a small night club, so I will be spending New Year's Eve and the following morning making sure no one gets hurt. One of my jobs will be making sure some of the club patrons get home safely. To anyone that reads this, please don't drink and drive, OK? Call a friend, call your dad or carry a blanket and camp out in your car. The local cops might still give you trouble if they find you inebriated in your vehicle, but you won't be endangering anyone.

My closest friends, minus ONE dear friend because she lives out of town and NYE falls on a weekday/workday this year. :(
I love NYE because it is the one holiday you can spend with the people of your choosing instead of the people you are obligated to be with!!!
