an article on yahoo sports says the NHL is bringing snow INTO ralph wilson stadium in buffalo for the Winter Classic hockey game...

anyone have any idea why the NHL would need snow IN the stadium?

Well up until last night we didn't have any snow up here at all. There is a lot of tarps and wood structures on the field that they want to cover up so it's not seen on TV.

to cover the ground and the side boards so you cant see the grass or bills signs on the side walls and because it was carried out earlier this week so they could work on the stadium. i know i live in buffalo.

I just shoveled a dump load of snow out of the Ralph, now they re bringing some more back in!?

I've read that a lot of the idea pertains to covering all the extra crap thats gonna eb left after set up. Where I am, we don't really have any snow on the ground. You can't see the grass, but its still way less than what we normally have by now, so I'm sure some of ti has to do with making it look wintery.

It is going to be an easy exercise. They're forecasting 6 " by noon tomorrow. Edmonton was too cold to snow it's never too cold to snow in Buffalo.
