I survived losing my wife, son, car, job, and house in the same day (I filed for divorce). I was in a rotten marriage, and decided enough was enough. After that, I really learned not to "sweat the small stuff", and realized "life is really too short".

I left an abusive husband of 8 yrs; took my little daughter and started out life on my own! I got a job; borrowed student loans and went back to school; and then worked as a therapist with troubled adolescents for 21 yrs. I was able to get my daughter in a pvt school for 8 to 5 pm so that I didn't have to put her in day care; and they did marvelous things and worked on communication and enrichment activities! She's a very wonderful mother, wife and successful buisness woman now. It was frightening to do that, but so worth it!!!

I accepted a rather controversial religion into my life. I won't say witch.... But I didn't "Find god", as some put it. I simply found a way to better cleanse my home, and soul, in a relaxing manner. It's not always good for everyone. Christians, especially, have problems accepting it.

physcal: I got Lasic surgery done and fixed my eyes. no more glasses or contacts.. and no more not being able to do things because I couldn't do them with glasses/contacts and I couldn't see without them.
Otherwise: I figured out that I'm in charge only of what I do. So I am the only one who can make me happy. I can't rely on others to make me happy, and I can't make it my job to make other people happy.
