Yep. Sittin' back in my easychair, sippin' on a few cold ones, watch the new year roll in and fel sorry for myself because I'll probably be alone. Oh well, I'll be over it tomorrow!

Yes Tina...I am from N.Y. and we always had a great dinner....seafood..then at midnight we ate a piece of raw cabbage...was for luck...but now I live where you eat black eyed peas at midnight for New Years...so I will have maybe a rib roast...potatoes .. salad..then at midnight those damn peas!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What I really would like is a corned beef on the stove with cabbage and potatoes...but since I am sick I have no energy for shopping! Oh I forgot Al will be taking me to Italy soon! The hell with the peas and roast! hahahahahaha!

I always fix pork and sauerkraut with mashed potatoes and eat late in the evening. I guess the theory is that if you go into the New Year with full belly, you'll eat all year.
