maybe they go back because they never stopped loving that person, and realized that life with that person was better than what they got afterwords. it has happened and can work out if both parties know what made the marriage end in the first place. people mature and grow up and realize that they really loved that person.

Because none of the two have been able to really move on as they thought. The plans for the one that left didn't work, the plans made for the one who was left didn't work, they are bad people at planning, no wonder they got divorce.

They are both second best. That goes for when the separation was mutual.

None of the two love themselves, or respect themselves, they also have problems with being alone, again, no wonder why they got divorce, why they chosen wrong the first time, that they go trying to see if the other person is still available.

When they are still available, they reconnect, but if the other person has moved on, or started to at least love themselves they don't. That answers my question that if none of the two love themselves, end up together again.

Then people say that true love existed and never fade and all that kind of stories, excuses people are telling you here, that's not true, probarbly they are also trying to reconnect and don't want to face the truth, that they haven't been able to move on.

because people can change

Most of the time, it is due to the couple's being able to mature past what made them divorce in the first place. Other times, they realize through bad experiences that what they had in the beginning was so much better than what they have now. So, they reconcile. It is all about growing up.

yes after 5 yrs, they see the errors of their ways and work out whatever problems they had to begin with

It can happen if the couple still had a foundation that held love, but there was an issue they couldn't overcome at the time of the divorce. Years down the road that issue may no longer exist, and if the love is still there (or gets rekindled) then they may opt to try again.

It can be easier to get back with an ex, than begin a new relationship...the ex already knows your flaws and quirks and you his, so there are (typically) fewer surprises.

Some people do it because they think they can upgrade their significant others, only to find that nobody wants to be with them, so they revert back to their old relationship.

Probably because of the children, if they have any.
