I have a project and need some minerals and their uses. This would be much appreciated!

Bauxite - ore used to make Aluminium foil etc.
Galena - Smelted to make lead - for roofs
Malachite - copper ore for wires
Graphite for pencils
Rocksalt - flavouring and road gritting
Mica - high temperature insulator
Sulphur - chemical uses
Gold - excellent conductor
Silver - jewlery
Diamond - hardest substance - industrial tools
