Hey, this is the same guy who asked about what fish I should put in my tank, and if I put chilids in my tank, would they kill my small catfish looking fish and my sucker fish? Thanks.

The general answer to this is no, but there are some cichlids that will attack some cats. You should be fine though if you find a reputable fish dealer and stick with buying from them. They will make sure you do not go down a bad path... if they don't then find a better dealer.

depending on what species of catfish you have, they should NOT kill the catfish. if your catfish has armoured plating then you are safe, if your catfish has thick barbed skin then you have a problem!!

all species of cichlids will kill/eat very small catfish or all stages of life suckerfish (eggs, young, adult).

They might bother the catfish if the Cichlids are a lot bigger. I have Plecos with my Cichlids in my tank and they don't bother it.
You don't need catfish with Cichlids because they clean the bottom very well themselves.
