I personally believe that U.S. Americans are unable to do so because uh some people out there in our nation don't have maps and uh I believe that our education like such as in South Africa and the Iraq everywhere like such as and I believe that they should our education over here in the U.S. should help the U.S. or should help South Africa and should help the Iraq and the Asian countries so we will be able to build up our future for.

Last I heard we had the states reasonably well established but the average American couldn't tell the difference from Japan, Hawaii and England on a world map. Pretty said.

As a part of our american 5th grade history class, we had to learn and memorize the U.S. map and identify the states and their capitals. I can still identify all the states, and most likely all the capitals. I am now 29. It does help that I am also a fan of history. As far as England being part of europe, please remember that not all americans are complete igorants, just some of the stupid few. Melissa

actually. Americans have to learn their States and capitals of the USA in the 5th grade.

Granted we tend to forget them as time goes by... but we can name all of them =]

Dude...who doesn't know where the states are. Mexico....I would hate for it to be a state. Mexico and Mexicans suck!
Also...why does America only focus on itself? Why not Europe? Why not Africa? Why not Asia? Why not Austrialia? All America thinks about is itself. There's other places besides America you know?
