With question no.2 is there something wrong with the no. of zeros in the multiple choice or is it just me?

For 2 it's just you. For negative powers the number of zeros is
one less than the power. So
10^-1 = .1 (no zeroes)
10^-2 = .01
10^-3 = .001
10^-4 = .0001
Answer is d.
For 1.
? = 2 + x - 3x^2

1. (?) = (2 + x - 3x^2)
Proof:
(x^-2)*(2 + x - 3x^2) = (2x^-2 + x^-1 - 3)
2. 10^(-4) = 0.0001
